A most popular mountain sightseeing route Aug 02, 2012
Tourists can't drive Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route in their cars. It is efficient for you to choose a group tour in this Alpine route. Using several public transportation, this route is very popular. In the tourist season, cable railways and buses are terribly overcrowded. But Murododaira and Kurobe dam are worth seeing. Murodo is 2,450 meters above sea level. It is encircled by 3,000 meters class mountains. I was charmed by the beauty of the snowy valley and the mysterious blue lake. I think Kurobe dam is most famous dam in our country. It is the tallest dam in Japan. The construction of this hydroelectric power plant was Kansai Electric power Company's big problem after the war. This dam was a symbolic building of rapid economic growth age in the 1960s in Japan. This difficult construction story of Kurobe dam was made into a movie.
