Tastee Sub Shop Edison Reviews
Great Sandwiches! Oct 02, 2011
Already a popular local establishment, Tastee Sub Shop was recently thrust in the national spotlight by a visit from U.S President Barack Obama.
Tastee Sub Shop is located off of NJ Highway 27 in Edison in a small building.
There are 14 different menu selections, however the staff can make a sandwich with your choice of meats, cheeses, and vegetables.
I ordered the #3 Proscuitti consisting of proscuitti, cappacola and provolone cheese on a sub roll with lettuce, tomato, oil, vinegar (a little mayo -even though its an Italian sandwich :P) and hot peppers.
The sandwich was made very well, there wasn't as much meat that I expected, however it was flavorful. The bread was appropriately firm, not too hard or too soft.
The prices are very reasonable, half (7 inches) $4.16 / whole (14 inches) $7.82.
There are only soft drinks available in addition to bottled water.
Cash and credit/debit cards are accepted. However, if you pay with cash there is a 5% discount.
Overall I would eat at Tastee Sub Shop again if I am in the mood for a great sandwich while in Edison and would recommend it.
