I arrived in Algeciras before dawn and decided to head straight to Tarifa to see an old friend--a Mexican fellow married to a Spaniard.  Took a bus on a twisty road under the shadow of hundreds of giant windmills (not the Don Quixote type, unfortunately).  There location is no coincidence…

When we disembarked in Tarifa and found out that we would be stuck there for most of the day I was upset.  I didn't know a thing about the own and we would have to find something to keep ourselves entertained.   We started by walking out of the Port and wandewr into what seemed…

Tarifa is a surf town. Or more correctly, a kite surfer town. There are dozens of surf stores selling the latest in hip surf gear. The old town of Tarifa is littered with small narrow alleys and back ways, where getting lost is easy. The highlight of this smal town is the long beach. At one end yo…

I loved it !! it was great .. fly to Malaga, rent a car or take the bus, you can hitchhike in tarifa. going out in tarifa is great aswell. it still has that surf vibe but also very hip places you can go out. surfing there is an onther story, you need to be a good surfer to surf there due to the wind. but the great thing about tarufa is that it has various spots you can surf if the wind is coming from a different direction! GO THERE YOU "LL LOVE IT !!

I was standing at the Frontier Point of Europe I had already decided that I had to visit the most southern point of Spain; Tarifa. Horse Riding Holiday to die for
posted by:
Jul 28, 2008 – Jul 29, 2008
My initial thoughts on riding along a Spanish beach were mixed, as despite the fact that it sounded pleasant, I couldn’t shake the image of riding a flea bitten mule along a dirty beach, as can be found in any seaside resort in Britain. What I found however was altogether different. We saddled up…
