Taquile Vacation Guide
Taquile is an island on lake Titicaca and is accesable from Puno by boat. The island is 5km long, 1 km wide and in aproximatly 2000 people live there.
It has unique culture diferent from Peru or Bolivia. Taquileños run their society based on community collectivism and their motto is do not steal, do not lie, do not be lazy.
On the Island are no hotels or hostels but you can really easy manage overnight stay in families for few bucks. Bring some fruits or small presents for the family.
