Tao's Restaurant Reviews
Tasty, presentable and friendly May 15, 2010
From the first look, this restaurant did not look nor feel convincing.
It looked very ordinary. Its menu was very simple, located in a hidden basement of the building.
However, the good experience starts right outside when we lined up for a seat.
The waiter quickly spotted us wanting to get a seat (although we did not make any reservation) and allocated us a table albeit hectic and crowded situation. The same goes with the other group of patrons.
Once seated, we were presented with a very simple set menu written in both English and Chinese.
The menu was simple: 6 course for lunch (S$19.80++) or 7 course for dinner (S$29.80++)
Everything that we ordered tasted special, smooth, cohesive and fulfilling.
Grilled mushroom was special.
In short, we'll come back again within a foreseeable future.
