Beautiful Taormina. A short bus ride from Messina through curvy highways up to the top of the mountain. Once there you will notice that you park at a parking structure and walk a bit till you hit the outside gates of Taormina. Once through those gates -it's like going back in to time. Little shops, cafes and restuarants with the most amazing views!
Old ruins are also one of the sights to see here - but I would say just sitting at a cafe having some gelatto and/or wine and people watching and/or meandering through the small tiny streets is wonderful.
