Off-tha-hook!!! Feb 24, 2012
They say you shouldn't pay for entrance into any nightclub in Vegas, especially if you're a girl-and I don't know if that's really true, but I didn't pay to get in with the variety of passes and info floating around on either occassion I went.

Tao is massive, the music is great, there's a little outside balcony off the main dance floor if you dance up a sweat (or want to smoke-yuck!) Tao Beach is up on the 4th floor and it is smoooooth out there! Drinks are about as expensive as they could be anywhere on the strip. The crowd is supreme and the atmosphere is phenomenal (check out the Monk bar).

For the two times I've been, there is one line for the locals, one line for guests staying at the Venetian, and a line for others. The first 2 lines moved superfast and they let in swarms of people at a time; the 3rd line can move really slow, so you might want to stay at the Venetian for your weekend in Vegas or get on the guest list during the day. Promoters get points for attracting people (cause you're gonna spend your money at the bar anyways!)

Tao is a MUST when you got to Vegas. Bring your best gear and look fly! However, to avoid a headache, get there at a decent time. Barring details can change, girls can get access to rail drinks for an open bar happy hour from 10pm-11pm (doors usually open around 10pm). During the week, the lines are inside. On a Saturday during high season and warm weather, they usually line people up outside with a warning that the line can extend over the bridge and onto the Strip! So, I repeat, get there EARLY!

I love TAO!

Best Club in Vegas Apr 01, 2011
I LOVE TAO NIGHTCLUB! It's literally my favorite club at Vegas and the one of the main reason I come to Vegas. It's a bit expensive on the drinks side but we'll worth the trip. The club is huge and the VIP sections are right in the middle of the action and on the upper floor and i LOVE when Tao Beach is open at night.... I love being outside near the pool and partying all night. It's hard to get around though because TAO is always so packed on Thursday,Friday and Saturday. But if I were you, ALWAYS arrive early there... the line can get as long as a mile...(no joke) The club is VERY popular in Vegas and people definitely dress to impress there. I've met "cocktail" who was one the Love of Ray J on VH1... she works there as a shots girl. Celebrities party there ALL the time, so don't be surprised if you see 1 or 2. lol It's about $20-$30 bucks for entry. 21+ club in Vegas, located at the Ventetian off the strip. They give away free entry cards outside before they open by the promotors so don't be afraid to ask around. IT'S A GREAT TIME. I can't go to Vegas without going to TAO... Best time i EVER had.

Amazing nightclub Mar 27, 2011
Tao night club is amazing! its always a party there. If you like top 40s, house you'll love this place. Theres always celebrities and theres also a pool on the roof "Tao Beach"

As for cost if your a lady usually everything in Vegas is free but for guys you'll end up spending quite a bit of money just like any other club in vegas.

One of the Hottest Nightclubs in Las Vegas! Feb 04, 2011
During my travels I have come to the realization that most people that I’ve met along the way have a few things in common with myself. Those things include drinking, dancing, drinking, partying, and drinking, and not necessarily in that order. For those who share the philosophy, “Go Big, or Go Home!”, this is definitely the club for you. The club scene in Las Vegas has evolved over the years. Vegas clubs have taken the reigns of the Studio 54 club era. No longer just a dance floor and bar, these mega clubs have incorporated elaborate themes, state of the art light and sound systems, special effects, and Cirque du Soleil like shows with acrobatics and stage shows. Each new club that opens is more sophisticated and over the top then the next taking the features from world-class clubs in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami and adding a Vegas appeal.

World-class celebrity DJ’s and musical acts are contracted monthly to perform and/or make appearances attracting international crowds like no other. TAO is one of those clubs that has continued to reign supreme in the world of mega clubs. 10,000 square feet and $22 million dollars later TAO has captured the mind of club goers internationally.

The club consists of a main dance floor featuring a well known DJ, surrounded by VIP booths lining the outer club walls, and a separate smaller dance floor located at the other end of the club with its own DJ to accompany it. During the spring and summer the pool area is also incorporated as part of the club with a third DJ spinning music for a more relaxed lounge- like scene. The club has a Pan-Asian them and a 4 star restaurant that I previously reviewed.

The Pros:

World class DJ’s playing the hottest music, occasionally celebrity sightings, beautiful people, high-energy atmosphere, and the occasional hook-

The Cons: Entrance fee can cost $30-50, and some nights more. (Unless you have an connection that will offer free entrance) Expensive drinks $10-20, crowded dance floors, meat-market on the weekends, drunken people stepping on your feet and spilling their drinks (I suppose this happens at any club), long lines that are separated by single males and couples, then single ladies, and finally VIP and those who could afford to purchase bottle service. I you arrive to the club late, hopefully you know the doorman, you’re a celebrity, VIP, have bottle service, or look like a model with exposed cleavage. Otherwise, go to the local casino bar, a less prestigious club, or go home.

Overall TAO is great experience for those who love great dance music, and want to feel the opulence, and over-the-top nightlife Las Vegas has to offer.

Oh what a night.. May 02, 2011
I went to Las Vegas in November last year, right in the middle of Thanksgiving! We were unsure of where to go the night before Thanksgiving and were told to head to Tao at the Venetian! Quite expensive there, but such a good night out! A little crowded but I would recommend it to anyone, good music, great atmosphere!!

Blegh blah and then blegh Jul 27, 2010
Terrible atmosphere, over priced and needlessly snobby. Poor service and just all in all a huge dissapointment

What! You're crazy! This place is GREAT! I will say that some places cater more to girls than to guys, so I may not understand it from your point of view.

i went here with 6 crazy girls and 6 crazy guys. i was able to get on the guest list. i know the local promoters. ladies are free. guys are $40. this is a very crowded club inside and outside. the drinks are subpar. if you like house and techno hang out inside. if you like hip hip and top 40 hang out upstairs at TAO BEACH.

you can't miss this club. always long lines. it is never a dull moment.

For those craving a high energy, DJ driven atmosphere, TAO boasts a 40-foot-long outside terrace with stunning views of the Las Vegas Strip, gorgeous go-go dancers, state-of-the-art audio and lighting systems, and two main rooms each featuring varying music formats. This ultimate nightlife facility also offers eight private skyboxes with mini-bars, espresso machines, and banquettes featuring secured purse drawers, as well as European Bottle Service. The TAO nightclub opens Thursdays and Fridays at 10 p.m. and Saturdays at 9:30 p.m.

Very cool place, except for how crowded it was. I am still reeling at how watered down my drinks were. I would go again, expect maybe during a weeknight.
