Tanaka Sushi New York Reviews
Sushi Mar 22, 2011
Located just a down the road from The Pod Hotel, I had a late dinner here. It was freezing out, so I opted for a warm meal, but I did get one sushi roll.
The menu has a wide selection of sushi rolls to choice from, I ended up getting a spicy tuna banana roll. I have never seen a such a roll before, so I thought that I would give it a shot. The roll was very good and the "spicy" tuna was actually spicy, which was nice. The tempura banana in the roll added a unique flavor and texture to the roll and I really liked it.
Next I had oyako donburi along with miso soup. The soup was good, and was nice to have on such a cool evening. I have had oyako donburi several places and here it was really good. The chicken was tender and not tough or dry and the egg was cooked perfectly.
The staff was friendly and attentive and made sure that our glasses were always full. I wish that I would have tried a little bit more of their sushi, but I just felt like eating something warm.
