Visit to Fort San Domingo/Hongmao Castle

Exited the Red Line's Danshui Station and headed to find the Red 26 Bus.  There are several key dates for the Fort.  They are:1629 - Fort San Domingo was originally built as a wooden fort by the Spanish1642 - Dutch expels the Spanish1724 - Qing Dynasty controls the fort and built a stone wall with four gates around it1868 - British take over after the opium wars1891 - British build consular residence next to Fort1972 - British hands over control to Republic of ChinaOperating hours a...
