Tamar Valley Wine Region - Brooke Eden Estate Reviews

Sep 30, 2007
Tassie's wine region and cellar doors operate very differently from most other places. The Cellar Door is the cheapest place you will buy the wine. Some dont open Monday and / or Tuesday, but the big main ones do, and some require bookings for groups of 10 or more. Most a free, except if you are in a tour. With over 30 wineries in the region, it makes for a very gourmet day - especially as quite a few operate their own restaurants and cafes.

One winery you can not miss is Brooke Eden. Its on the Pipers Brook side of the region, and is about 1km from Pipers Brook Road. When you drive up the driveway, you can tell its owned and operated by a loving family. Ducks paddle on the dam, (friendly, happy) dogs greet you at the car door and chooks are scratching in the garden amongst the vines. The Pinot Nior is exteptional, we purchased 2 bottles and went back the next day to order a case! Its a must visit winery!
