It had to be done. ROAD TRIP. One of those I can't afford to take off (financially) but then again I can't afford not to (emotionally). 300 miles south to Talkeetna was my destination! I started my trip at 2am, cause I wanted to get to a place to take some pictures of Denali at sunrise. I knew it was gonna be a grand trip as as I was loading my car the northern lights where firing off. I arrived at the Alaska Veterans Memorial wayside area around 6:30, a little nap then took alot of pics

Alaska is perhaps the most beautiful place in the world. It's another thing that it's become touristy and hence expensive, not to mention that deals from Dallas are expensive. But it comes highly recommended! I wish I'd spent more than a long wknd!

Na Denali Cabins achter ons gelaten te hebben zijn we onderweg naar Talkeetna nog wel op zoek gegaan naar een garage maar die hebben we niet echt kunnen vinden. Nou maar hopen dat we niet weer een lekke band krijgen (hahaha). In Talkeetna kregen we een redelijk grote cabin tot onze beschikking. We hebben hier een historische wandeling gedaan in het stadje.
