An old good monastery Jun 13, 2013
Tajimi monastery was founded in 1930 by German missionary Father Mohr. He belonged to the Society of the Divine Word. I know my late father once went frequently to this monastery, so I wanted to visit here again. There were beautiful wall paintings and stained glass windows. But taking photograph of the inside of this building was forbidden. There were vineyard and a winery on the premises. Behind the monastery we saw three log houses. People were enjoyed a barbecue there. Tajimi is one of the hottest cities in Japan. The temperature this afternoon was 35 degrees. The rainy season was not over yet, but I saw a cumulonimbus today.
