My date with the TAJ Mar 04, 2011
FEB 14th 2011

..........." I can't even begin to imagine how beautiful the emotion love can be if the testimony to that is 'Taj Mahal'.

What would be the ingredients of that emotion felt by Shah Jahan if it conjured up the Taj in his heart.

I sit here in front of the Taj........gazing at it, and i can see the soul of the monument telling me a story. a story of love, purity and sheer passion.

I simply stop complaining. I can't think of anything but peace in my heart. All switches in my mind are off. The Taj simply stands there gracefully, acknowledging my appreciation and at the same time being oblivious to my presence.

I as an architect, have never been moved to a degree as compared to this experience of witnessing the edifice, this frozen emotion of love, standing magnificiently on the banks of the Yamuna river to its north.

it makes me wonder as to ever can i experience an emotion so strong which can possibly make someone capable of such conception of creativity.

I can not feel the presence of anyone else as of this moment despite hundreds being around.

The sun setting on the Taj is another extra-ordinary romantic affair. It again feels that I am the only one in the premises. Although during dusk, the Taj has a different story to tell. If it were possible for someone to put this experience in words.......I suppose then the taj will not have existed.

Its simply impossible to write the exact that is felt by someone to describe the legacy, the edifice, the passion, the joy, the seduction.......and above all.......the phenomena called

A monument for love Jul 16, 2011
Although the Taj Mahal is very cheap for indian citizens, foreigners pay about 10 times or more. However, this should not stop you from going to the Taj Mahal, because it is a must see when you are in the North of India. If you go in June however, be prepared for the almost unbearable heath.

I would recommend everyone who visits the Taj Mahal to read up on the history of this mausoleum. It is a real monument for love and I was very happy I knew about the history when I was there. The building is beautiful. It is not possible to describe it or get the right impression from a picture. You just need to see it for yourself.

One of the Seven Wonders of the World Apr 30, 2011
My visit to India was made complete when I was fortunate enough to visit the Taj Mahal.

When I first stood at the start of the narrow strip of waterway which leads to this magnificent temple,I couldn't believe that after so many years of seeing photo's,I was actually here, live.

As you get closer to this wonderful work of art,you then begin to notice the amount of detail to the intricate patterns in the stonework.

It is without doubt the most outstanding piece of architecture that I have ever been fortunate enough to see.

If you visit India, put this building at the top of your lists of "Must See."

Taj Mahal the love piece in Agra Apr 16, 2011
Amazing...that is the perfect word I could give for Taj Mahal when I set my food on the 12th Apri 2011.The architectural and the craftsman-ship makes the Taj Mahal but one to see the Taj Mahal its better to go with the lover or with love..than one see the actual Taj Mahal.

It is really great to see a king loved so much his wife, so much so built Taj Mahal for her.I just couldnt leave the place feel like seeing it again and again....

Agra as a city is small and probably not a very fun place to stay long, but the Taj is stunning and worth waking up early for!!

Ahhh, the Taja!! Jul 16, 2010
Well I stayed in a guesthouse just around the corner....thankfully as was very ill from something I got on overnight train from Varanasi.

I stayed in Agra 5 days, 2 were in bed and 3 cruising around.

The Taj, beautiful and sublime, majestic and otherworldly sometimes. I spent a few hours there, like to lie down and watch people meander.

Obviously if you go to India, a trip to the Taj is not too be missed. Although and many here will chastise me for it.....I have heard so much about the Taj that when I finally went, I was erring on the side of not that impressed...I am putting that down to being bombarded with tv and internet pictures.....but it is beautiful and so glad I went...
