The next day, Dad's friend and his wife took us to the Ju Ming Museum of Art and a seaside with strange rocks a little north of Taipei. We ended the day at a park back in the city and ate dinner with many of Dad's architect/contractor/other friends.

When we first chose our apartment we had doubts. Surrounding it are about three dozen mechanic shops with cars jacked up, motorbikes parked on the sidewalks, and an abundance of greasy men shouting hellos to the three foreign girls. This is because our fourth floor balcony lies even with a fr…

I really enjoyed Taipei. I have to say that I had many different feelings about it during my stay.
The people are busy and still take the time to be courteous and friendly. The food is great and has its own spin on "traditional" Chinese food, which makes sense. I also love the cheap tr…

Taiwan is mysterious.
Taiwanese made an effort, so Taiwan became a wonderful country, especially, the public peace, the economy, the culture, the sanitation, and the democracy.
Therefore, Taiwanese are proud, and very kind to the tourist including Japanese. I have been called kindly several times, when I have read a guidebook.
Actually, my friends say that they want to revisit.
But there is a problem also in the Taiwan travel. Because meal is delicious, we should take care not to grow fat.
