Tai Pan Chinese Cuisine - Palo Alto - TravBuddy

This is a trendy looking Chinese restaurant in downtown Palo Alto, actually doesn't look that Chinese inside, and it wasn't noisy like the more "authentic" Chinese restaurants, but the food was good, and I would definitely go there again. There is a parking lot right next to it, and also street parking. We had a yummy clam dish as the starter, then a soup which has a name that rhymed with "making lots of money" in Chinese, giving the New Year a good omen. Then we had a fresh steamed fish. Steamed fish requires fresh fish, and it was usually a good test of whether a restaurant is any good at seafood. We had an interesting tofu dish with shrimp and other goodies on top. Anyway, good restaurant to check out if you are in Palo Alto.
