the best seafood burrito you'll ever eat May 05, 2011
This gem of burrito joint is waiting for you on your arrival into Puerto Vallarta. As soon as you exit the baggage reclaim, fight your way through the crowds of taxi drivers and hotel reps walk straight ahead out into the car park. You'll see a busy freeway straight in front of you and will need the turn left in order to cross the road via a footbridge. As you descend the other side you will probably start to smell the deliciousness. Take a 180 degree turn at the bottom of the bridge and on your left hand side you'll see Tacon de Marlin. More often than not, it will be full of pilots.

A mixed smoked marlin and prawn burrito will set you back 50 pesos, less that 5 bucks. It is incredible and I think the culmination of everything Mexican food should be. Exotic but familiar, served in a rough cantina by a man with a week's stubble as eighties latino music videos roar from a background telly.

I once spent hours in here after sleeping through four wake up calls in a tequila coma and missing my flight. Those burritos were the only thing that got me through a bleak, and expensive, morning...
