Good Tex-Mex fast food! Apr 29, 2013
I’m sure that if you have been in the USA and several other countries you have seen this place in nearly every city around. Begun in Downey, California and headquartered in Irvine California, this large chain boast 6,446 locations (according to Wikipedia) and employees more than 175,000 people. They serve a Tex-Mex style of fast food including Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, Nachos and Churros at very inexpensive prices.

Only a light dinner for us and the Taco Salads looked good. They are made with ground beef, rice, refried beans, lettuce, cheese, tomato, tortilla strips and sour cream in a nicely shaped corn tortilla bowl.

The girl who took our order was so nice but wondered why we brought our camera in with us. We explained that we were with TravBuddy and would be writing a review. She did her best to make sure they got at least one star more than usual by bringing our food to us at our table, and with a big wink and smile!!

When my brother moved back to upstate New York there were none and when he visited a couple of times a year out here in Calif. he would buy a dozen bottles of their sauce so he could have at least some of that taste back there. :)
And yes, there are no Taco Bells in Mexico, even though they have tried twice.

I remember on the east coast you couldn't find a Taco Bell except South of the Border in the mid 1980's. It was usually a treat as a special stop heading South for us Northerners back in the day!
