Tacloban Vacation Guide
Tacloban is the capital of Philippine province of Leyte and is located on Cancabato Bay, in the San Juanico Strait which divides the islands of Leyte and Samar. It is a port city approximately 360 miles southeast of Manila. Tacloban city is one of the few first class cities in the Philippines and has just been recently declared as highly urbanized city in 2008.
Going there:
By air – Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific Air has 4 daily flights each between Manila and Tacloban with a travel time of 1 hours and 10 minutes. Cebu Pacific Air also has 7 daily flights between Cebu and Tacloban City.
By sea, Sulpicio Lines takes approximately 34 hours to reach Tacloban, the ship departs from Manila once a week. The days of departure are fixed a week before.

lagkaw means small hut (payag). i always make it a point to consider my travels as extensions of the "home", however grandiose or simple the setting would be. similarly, i would want anyone visiting here to feel right at home :D
