Taberna Deanes Cordoba Reviews
Casa del Incas Oct 13, 2011
Taberna Deanes – the “casa del Inca” is a beautifully decorated restaurant near the Mezquita. The nickname comes from a former owner, who (and I was not totally clear on this) was either a business man or a conquistador. The restaurant is in the typical style of the area, with some tables in a central patio and some in small open rooms along the courtyard.
The food is OK. It is not the best I have ever had in Spain, but it isn’t the worst either. Prices are about average for this part of town, the olives were nasty but that might be the species they are rather than anything about the restaurant, and some of the food was quite nice. Service was adequate.
Basically, this is a restaurant that is making its money from passing tourist trade. By those standards, it is prettier than many, central for the attractions and not at all bad. But the food is uninspired and if you have more time to explore, there are probably better places.
