Our Mar 28, 2010
My family visited from South Africa and we were all dying to eat at a steak house. We discovered TGI Friday's by accident. We were walking in Puerto Madero looking for a restaurant. There are plenty of restaurants in Puerto Madero and you can pick and choose.

Restaurants normally have the menu on display. I like that because it give you a good idea of what is available and also the prices. The menu was inviting and well priced. We decided to give it a try.

The restaurant has a typical steak house atmosphere. Waiters are dressed in vibrant and colourful clothes. The restaurant was very full but we did not wait long for our food to arrive. We ordered cocktails, burgers, spare ribs, nachos and steak. A little while later, more food arrived and more cocktails. We couldn't understand what was happening. I think the waiter saw the confused look on our faces and explained to us that it is "Happy Hour"...needless to say that made us very happy!

We left the restaurant with stomachs full to the brim! I was reading a review on TGIF's on Tripadvisor and people complained bitterly about the service. I thought that maybe the service went down since I have last visited it. But I re-visited the restaurant in Feb 2010 and the service and food was still great.

I still recommend this restaurant to other travellers.

It was totally new to me because in South Africa we didn't have one. But hey, it is a great restaurant!
