T. T. Wentworth Museum Pensacola Reviews
T. T. Wentworth Museum Apr 03, 2011
The T. T. Wentworth Museum is located in historic downtown. The building itself was built in 1907 and was home to the original city hall. Since 1985, this building has been home to the museum.
T. T. Wentworth is a local celebrity, a true jack of all trades. He is best know for his very.. interesting collection of items. Some of which (he has more than 150,000 items on inventory) is on display at the musuem including a petrified cat, a shrunken head, and the world's largest mans shoe.
Never fear! There are other rooms on the first floor devoted to local shipwrecks and artifacts that have found while various flags were flying over Pensacola. The second floor tends to vary, but is typically a little more main stream. The evolution of swim suits, the evolution of wedding dresses, boy scouts, race car derbys, the civil war, etc. The top floor is the coolest, but I am far too old to play without receiving menacing glances from fellow adults. Its a discovery gallery for children that includes a fort, a port, stores, and more. It resembles a colonial Pensacola.
