Sydney Harbour Bridge without the pricetag Oct 17, 2009
Most visitors to Sydney are aware of the Harbour Bridge climb, which can be very expensive, but aren't aware that you can get a fantastic experience for the price of a train ticket - currently $4.20AUD. If you hop on the train at Wynyard and get out at Milsons Point, you can then walk back across the bridge with fantastic views of the harbour, Circular Quay and the Opera House, through to North Sydney and the Heads. The walk is about 3km in length from Milsons Point through to the histroric Rocks area of Sydney

Sydney Harbour Bridge Sep 12, 2009
With the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge is a symbol of Sydney. I honestly only felt like being in Sydney after seeing it. As its name suggests, it goes across Sydney Harbour.
Its architecture, a steel arch bridge, is amazing. So far, I have gone: - through it (driving but you can also walk or take the train : it is huge) - under it (during a cruise from Darling Harbour) - around it (sailing or walking as it is massive it can be seen from many places) I hope I will someday refresh this review because I will have climbed it ! It is said to be expensive… but to be worth it ! It is the world's widest long-span bridge (50m), and the fifth-longest spanning-arch bridge in the world (1150m) ! It was built on 1932, what astonished me because it looks soooo modern to me ! Part of the My bachelor internship travel blog |

The following day we had a walk around central Sydney and took in the views of the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. The weather was unfortunataly not great, so the pictures are a bit grey. In the evening we had dinner in Darling Harbour, which used to be pretty grim, but is now a popular restaurant and bar area.
On the third day we took… Last stop in Australia |
