From Southern cross station we made our way to the hostel, Urban Central, located on city road. The hostel was locked up and you can only enter with a swipe card or buzz at reception. The reception desk is manned 24hrs a day, we checked in and made our way to the 2nd floor… A day out in Sydney |

…back at Sydney airport I collected my bag and then dithered for ages before deciding finally to take the $16 Airport Link train to Central Station and taking a chance on a hostel. I first tried the big Central YHA (the one with it's own cinema) but it was fully booked. The guy did a quick check and said there were beds available at the Railway YHA, in Railway… Into The Blue |

I landed in Sydney and took a short train ride to the central station where my hostel was located. This was first time in a YHA hostel in Oz. It was a pleasant surprise, the whole place was a much higher standard to most hostels and there was no rip off internet or laundry charges. I wished… Sydney |

Hundreds of stands with all the information in the world on backpacking, hostels, countries, continents and travelling in general. Pretty informative and good fun.
As I had some left over Magiccards I needed to sell, I searched out some shops who might be intrested in buying them from me. One shop in Burwood looked promising to me, so I set out with good hopes of selling my cards there. An hour… Finally started! |
