I used to come here a lot when I was a little kid, and embarrassingly, I'm drawn to it now for the same reasons I used to be. Once you enter the park, there's a big hill that's relatively easy to climb. I enjoy climbing up there and sitting on fallen tree trunks, relishingthe brief escape from everything happening below. As you walk east, there's a trail that was recently commissioned by the city, and it winds parallel to a bubbly creek down below beforesnakingupthrough an open area ofunspoiled natural habitat. Every time I walk up there, families of birds and hares are present like clockwork, andIreally enjoy trying to identify thedistinct species of trees, each adding a unique texture and color to canyon.
