Convenient and affordable hotel, Swiss Inn Kuala Lumpur May 30, 2011
I have stayed here for two nights during my visit to Kuala Lumpur and for me it was a very practical choice. Aside from the convenient location, price of this hotel is also very reasonable. we booked this hotel together with our flight booking with airasia. They served buffet breakfast so at least you have a good choice of what to eat. the only thing that I ddnt like in the room is that, there was no windows but the wifi signal in the room is very good.
For a budget traveller like, i will surely stay in this hotel again. |

Affordable hotel in the heart of Chinatown Nov 26, 2010
I booked a Superior Room at this hotel via www.hotels.com and paid 74.94 USD for 2 nights stay. The rate included breakfast for 2. They also have free wifi, just ask for the user ID and password from the reception staff. 2 bottles of complimentary water is provided. There's no mini bar but you can use the fridge and just buy drinks outside:). The room we had did not have a window but it's fine because it's neat and we got the good rest that we deserved.
The hotel's location is in the heart of Chinatown, a few steps away from the night market. The nearest train station is Pasar Seni. From KL Sentral, the train fare costs 1 Ringgit. Also, if you're going to Singapore, you can take a cab to Pasar Rakyat bus station. The cab fare going there costs about 8 Ringgit depending on traffic. I love this location because you do not have to worry where to eat. Lots of food places to choose from, affordable and yummy! If you fancy drinking but do not want to spend so much in the bars, the stalls along the streets offers beers too (cheaper than in the bars of course!). Or you can just buy from the nearby 7-11 and drink from the hotel room :) There's a nice bar across this hotel, located at the 5 Elements Hotel. Otherwise, take a cab to Bukit Bintang or to the bars near KLCC. At night, cab drivers charge a flat rate of 15 Ringgit. Cheaper option is to take the monorail (nearest station from the hotel is Imbi) which is about 5 to 10 mins walk. Part of the Singapore- Malaysia Part 2 travel blog |
