The Swiss use Francs Mar 06, 2009
Switzerland like the United Kingdom is not a member of the European Union, it is however a member of the European Free Trade Association. Switzerland thus does not use the Euro as legal tender but it's own Swiss Francs. Euros are readily accepted in Switzerland and can be exchanged at banks or forexes for local Francs.

If you use the railway in Switzerland for example, you can ay your ticket using Euros. If you trade in Euros while in the country many businesses will give you change back in Francs if you give them Euros.
