Sweetwater Brewing Company

Sweetwater is a 40,000-barrel microbrewery that specializes in producing aggressive West Coast style beers to be enjoyed in the Southeast US. Having had great success, (2002 Small Brewery of the Year at the GABF!) Sweetwater's taste has grown throughout Georgia and beyond by word of mouth. The market of beer lovers has fallen for this Georgia brew, which has begun spreading throughout the city of Atlanta and its neighboring states. It's a local brew for local folks. For a measely 6 bucks, you can gain entry to the brewery and "tasting room" (which is basically a ultra cool bar). Visitors also receive a collectible Sweetwater glass and 3 tickets to use in the tasting room. Most brews cost 1 ticket per glass. Beers with higher alcohol contents, like their seasonal Festive Ale, cost 2 tickets. The super-hip Sweetwater staff also gives frequent tours of the brewery throughout the evening, in which they explain the brewing process and outline the history of the Sweetwater Brewing Company. Make sure and check out as many brews as possible. I highly recommend the 420, Summer Hummer, and Festive Ale. Cheers!
