It's off to Sweden today! We bought tickets for an 8 hour tour today -- but to Elsinor (the Castle where Shakespeare staged Hamlet); a ferry to Lund, Sweden; a bus back to Malmo and then the train across the Baltic to return us to Copenhagen. We walked down to the Palace Hotel near Tivoli Gardens and waited for our 9:45 bus. The bus never came though, as there had been a mix up when they sold us the tickets. This particular tour only goes on Saturday and it was Th...

One summer, while having a break from university, I desided to do somethink else then working in a retirement home in Norway. I came upon a web side where people from Norden( Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Island, Finland, Denmark, and Greenland) could exchange jobs for the summer. I decided that it was a great idea, end ended up working for the post office in Kungsholmen, Stockholm, as a mail carrier...
Work was great, and as a Norwegian, i can understand Swedish, and they can understand Norwegia...

It has taken me two days to realize that there are no traffic lights here. Well, there are three, all on the largest street by the train station. The second largest city in the country and there are three intersections with traffic lights (and no stop signs whatsoever). I thought all the drivers were just being nice and always stopping to let me cross, but I realize they have to!I have also not seen a Starbucks since I left Berlin. People seem to frequent 7-11 for thei...

Scandenavia
I visited Sweden for the first time in winter. I know it might seem strange or crazy but I went there as part of a sports tour.I stayed in Upssala city for 10 days and 2 more days in Stockholm. I loved the place and made lots of friends there. I knew that this place would be great in the summer so i planned a visit the following summer. I made it, lucky me, to Stockholm for almost 40 days. On my first trip i made friends who did help me a lot especially in finding me a studio to ...

Sorry to say this but SAS flight SK 972 has landed in Copenhagen Airport and I've taken the short car ride from Copenhagen to my home in Malmö. Right now I feel that I'm in the wrong place. I've had the best trip ever...and I've experienced so much and so many incredible things, met A LOT of people and sealed the love that was found on my last trip.
But going home was not without regrets....last night while walking to the gate I passed the gate for the Cebu Pacific flight from Bangkok to M...

Back home again after my vacation. Can't say it is too bad to be back home again. I've had a very good vacation and have not so many complains on it. The only complains is the taxi drivers in Santiago ripping off people. The not so fun part about getting home was to see the appartment again. I had totally forgotten how messy I left it. Things everywhere! In the kitchen was some stuff that I had forgotten to pack and in the fridge was all the candy and snacks I was going to have on the plane......

Hi everyone! There's not so much I can say about the trip; I didn't actually write down places we went to and probably would mix the days up very much. Just to give you a little inside view about how I experienced the city, here we go. If you fly in with a cheap airline (we started in Hahn, Germany) you get to one of the further away airports. We landed in Skavsta Airport which is pretty small but nice. We took a bus to the city centre; it was cheap and cost about 20 Euros for a roundtrip. The...

I had definite plans this trip, Stockholm, Malmoe and Gothenburg, somehow i ended just roaming and ended up in rural Sweden, which gave me the shock of my life as i inundated with Harley's,leather and and old gas guzzlers, It's kind of funny but a travel buddy i have only exchanged a few words with came to mind, Old School Bill lol. Well it was interesting and very beautiful, now all i need is to stick to my travel plans and spend some serious time in Stockholm etc

Visiting all the port cities of the baltic was a chance of a lifetime. Eating Swedish meatballs served by attractive waitresses, trying reindeer in helsinki, cruising through the canals in st. petersburg, all of it was a time i'll never forget. surprisingly, tallinn, estonia, was one of the most amazing cities i've been to because of the beauty of both the land and the people.

I've arrived at Gothernburg airportn and looked for immigration for a while. Then I found out that Sweden is EU country and I did immigration at the airport in Paris. Wow Europe got to be really easy to get around! I met up with a friend half months after his leaving Japan!
I visited his home in Jonkoping whose name is like my name, Junko. I was excited to take a pic of a sign which has the name on it. It is a countryside but more houses...

I took the X200, high speed rail, from Stockholm to Malmo at 14:20. I reserved the 1 Class seat with PC and wireless internet service. I scheduled a Skype meeting at 15:00 on the train, but it's very difficult to set up and uses the WLAN. The first, the WLAN signal is not stable. I used some signal strength indicator program to keep an eye on it. After 20 minutes, it's getting better. There comes another chanllege is the welcome home page. It's shown in Swedish. I don't understand a...
