Swan Restaurant Toronto Reviews
Excellent bistro-style food in a relaxed but stylish atmosphere Jun 23, 2011
Opened in a former, old-school diner, Swan Restaurant has retained a nostalgic, but stylish, feel. Its decor includes orange Formica counters, art-deco leatherette booths, and a vintage Coca-Cola machine. With that said, the food itself is very current, reflecting nouveau-traditional cuisine.
For my meal, I dined on fresh oysters for a starter, and braised beef short ribs for my main course. Both were absolutely delicious. If it wasn't my last night in Toronto, I may have even returned to the Swan for another meal. My dinner was that delicious.
Located in the trendy Queens Street West neighborhood, the restaurant was teeming with hipsters. However, the atmosphere was very casual and relaxed, without pretension. I highly recommend Swan Restaurant for your next visit to Toronto.
