Soup in bread, nuff said. Nov 21, 2015
The best place I went to for food while in Reykjavik, they primarily sell 'soup in bread' with a different meat and vegetable option available each day. The meat option I had when I was there was lamb, beef and pepperoni, and needless to say was absolutely gorgeous and very filling, compared with a lot of dishes I had while in Iceland that were fairly small. The price is very good for Iceland, for the soup and a beer it was about £10 (as an example to compare prices to other food, a roll or sandwich in supermarkets can be £5-6).

I would highly recommend anyone who is going to Iceland to give this place a try.

It isn't the most obvious place to find, as it is up some stairs on the side of the building, but if you have the rough location from a map, look for the 'Bonus' supermarket which is directly opposite (at the time of writing), as it is much easier to notice when looking for it.
