Sushi of Life Oslo Reviews
Good and fairly cheap sushi Aug 08, 2011
Sushi of Life has two Sushi Bars in Oslo. One is located one block from the National Theatre and the other one a 6 minutes tram ride away. I have been to the latter twice. The first time we ate in and the second we ordered take away.
The one I went to was not very big, on the contrary, but it´s nice and modern. With the sand coloured interior and the light wooden furniture, it looks bigger than it is. It´s not fancy, but cozy and intimate.
Service is very friendly and helpful. It´s also very efficient. The menu is Thai inspired Asian cuisine, as well as sushi. You can order bits and pieces from their nigeri, maki and sashimi menu or take one of the sushi menus.
We started with a Tom Ka Gai soup, which was very good. Then my friend had the tamarind tiger prawns with rice, while I had the medium sushi menu. It was all very good and the sushi super fresh.
The other day when we just picked up three sushi menus, the service was again very efficient and the sushi fresh. Even if people are constantly coming in to pick up their order, the wait is never too long.
If you live in the area or plan to eat there often, remember to pick up their loyalty card. You get a stamp for every menu you order. After 10 stamps you get a medium sushi menu for free.
I can recommend Sushi of Life. It´s a nice little place with wonderful sushi at a very good price.
