Sushi Tokyo Oslo Reviews
Decent sushi and techno menu! Mar 01, 2012
Sushi Tokyo is located near the Vigeland Sculpture Park. From the outside it looks like an average take out place. They offer both take away and sit in dining on two floors. The atmosphere is okay, but nothing special.
Sushi Tokyo was the first sushi restaurant in Norway to introduce the Japanese way of ordering. Each table is equipped with a computer. You place your order on the computer and a few minutes later a waiter serves the food. If you need help you press the waiter button on the screen and when you are ready to pay, you press the pay button.
The staff is nice and helpful, but due to the ordering system you don´t get much in contact with them. I have ordered take away from them several times, but only eaten in once. The service is good and there is never a problem changing things on the menu. The sushi is very tasty and generous with fish. Besides the sushi they also offer Thai and Vietnamese dishes as well as vegetarian options.
I wouldn´t travel across town to get to Sushi Tokyo, but if you are in the area it´s good sushi at a reasonable price. It´s also a good option if you are going to the Vigeland Sculpture Park and want to bring lunch or a snack.
