Tips for campers on a budget at FIB Benicassim Jul 19, 2011
There are two cheap supermarkets near the campsites at FIB, Lidl and Mercadona. They are both within walking distance, but Mercadona is much closer. Daily items on the list should be water, ice and fruit. You can also buy plenty of precooked food including pasties and pizzas, and everything is super cheap.

I recommend buying a few items from one of the cheap shops on the main street:

1. a lilo to sleep on (about 3 euros)

2. a bucket/ice box to fill with ice and keep your drinks cool

3. a hat (it gets so hot, trust me you will need one) I managed to get a nice one for 1 euro!

4. a mat for the beach

5. a parasol (not essential, but for what it costs it really is worth it to avoid getting sun-burnt)

Finally, the walk from the campsite to the beach/town is quite long and can be exhausting in the heat. Save your energy and hop on the buses that stop near the campsite for about 1.30 euros.

Have fun :)
