Surigao, the capital city of the province of Surigao del Norte in the Philippines, has a population of over 130,000 (2005 census) in over 20,000 households spread over a total land area of close to 250 square kilometers.
Surigao City, a mix of islands lying at the rim of the Asian continental shelf, is perched at the northeastern tip of Mindanao and faces the Philippine Deep, one of the world's deepest trenches. It has abundant mineral reserves, aquatic resources, and tracts of fertile lands. It is also known for its beaches, outlying islands and surfs. Tourist attractions include Buenavista cave, Basul island, Lisondra rock foundation, Punta Baluarte and Mabua Pebble Beach.

Craziest Weekend of my Life
I was planning to go to Malapascua last Saturday, April 12, 2008. The night before, I met up with Kuya Ted (Travelbud) and had some beers.
