Super 8 Urumqi Ba Yin He

I wasn't sure what to expect when I went to China for a business trip on a somewhat tight business budget. We ended up at the Super 8 and it was such a pleasant surprise! The room was very clean with two single beds. It had a walk in shower and supplied us with shampoo and soap. The hotel sits right along the street of the morning market so one is able to get up early and walk through the streets to buy fresh fruits and vegetables. It's within walking distance to the People's Park and cabs are always around. It's kinda busy, but that's good if you're gonna be in a city like Urumqi. Fubar is a westerner's bar right down the street for those travelling that like a little reminder of western cuisine. They even give you breakfast tickets and you can enjoy a good meal every morning in the coffee shop on the first floor. The rooms were only 178 RMB a night (about $30). We left Urumqi to go west, then actually came back to the same place b/c we liked it so much. Overall a really great hotel!!
