Super 8 Motel McAllen

Well I returned to this hotel after many years not using them. Like many years before It was pleasant until the last night/day. I told the front desk I would not be staying the second day a little after 10 that evening. Upon returning to my room there was a power sander directly across from my room in the storage room until 11:00 at night,they were doing some renovation work at the hotel. Well the next day they refused to give me my refund and said they will contact me after a discussion with the manager (this happened on my last stay as well). Well that day has never come.

Super 8 headquarters said that this specific hotel has some problems because it is privatly owned and "were sorry" we will contact you. Well that day did not come either. This hotel also did not credit my reward points for two seperate reservation either.
I have contacted Super8/Wyndham about the problem, dispute and points and am awaiting a second reply

This is the reason for the below average value rating and the very expensive rating. I and anyone else should not expect to pay for nights not used when cancelling over 13 hours in advance of the next checkin day. Consist and bad business practice is the second reason. Third, I obviously had to pay EXTRA for the power sander operating until 11 at night. Also This is the second time they refused to refund a cancellation over a half day in advance. Both times they had been paid in cash.
Not a bad place to stay just bad business practices.
