I travelled to Helsinki to play australian football for Finland against England. I then got to enjoy 4 of the best days of my life in an absolute paradise. I cannot rate this trip highly enough. A thoroughly beautiful country. Fantastic people, unbelievable scenery and everything so clean, fresh, relaxed and modern.

One of my best friends lives in Finland and I spent a too short weekend with her in Helsinki and Turku. It was a great weekend and apparently we had exceptional weather for the time of year (early June). There is a lot to see in Finland, not just in Helsinki!

Finnland has been for the last years the only Scandinavian country I haven't visited. Unlike the other countries of northern Europe, Finnish don't have germanistic roots and their language is very particular. I was really curious about this country famous for Nokia, Icehockey, sauna, lakes and forests. 4 days in Helsinki weren't fairly much, but at least the first step to discover how the country is like.
