Sunset Viewing near Yanui Beach Phuket Reviews
Spectacular Sunset Dec 05, 2012
We hired a motorbike for the day and honestly, this is the best, cheapest and most effective method of transport on Phuket. Albeit, not the most safe!
Between 5 and 6.30 the sun sets over the tropical island of Phuket. It begins its gradual descent at the southern most tip of Phuket island.
I would highly recommend this attraction as a wonderfully cost-effective way to photograph the natural splendour of this picturesque cliff viewpoint. From the viewpoint atop a mountain you can see for miles. The neighbouring white-sanded beaches are visible, the unstoppable enthusiastic waves from metres below you crash against the rocks adding a relaxing soundtrack to the sunset experience.
We walked down to the end of the viewing wall and went out onto the rocks there. However, there were a group of very loud young people constantly chatting and standing up, hence, ruining some beautiful photographs. We spoke to another guy who had also had the pleasure of seeing the sun making it's descent but he walked down a dirt path onto the little spit of land at the bottom of the cliff.
The colours the sun casts across the aquamarine sky are spectacular, reds, oranges, yellows.
This is a picture-perfect end to your visit to Phuket.
