Sunset Ranch Horseback Riding Hollywood Reviews
Horseback riding in Hollywood! Jan 16, 2012
For an hour or two, you can horseback ride in Griffith Park on the Hollywood Hills and enjoy a great view of LA!
The staff are friendly and knows their horses. Most of them have been horseback riding since they were 5 years old. The horses are well-taken care of, evident from how healthy they look!
During the ride, they provide general information about the Hollywood, Griffith Park, and horses.
I really enjoyed the hour I went horseback riding.
It was affordable ($30 for 1 hour), and a different activity when sightseeing around LA area.
Tip: During winter months, take the last ride in the afternoon (around 3pm) and see the view of downtown LA at sunset!

Horseback riding in the Hollywood Hills was a really nice experience. Sunset Ranch is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the effort to find.
The horses are tame and really sweet (with names like Buddha and Angel), the guides are laid back and hospitable, and the views are spectacular! There are a couple of turns you take that gives you a great view of the Hollywood sign. I believe they also have a tour that takes you right up to the sign.
This is a must-do for anyone in Los Angeles looking for a respite from the noise and congestion. It's a fantastic reminder that we have a lot of nature still around us. =)
Priced at around $50 per hour, it's not bank-breaking. This ranch also boards horses and gives private lessons.
