Sunset Point Abu Reviews
Atmospheric, touristy Feb 08, 2011
The name of this sight says it all really. Situated off Mount Abu, this area is oft touted as the best spot to come and gaze at the views at the end of the day.
As you approach the area, there are various offers to get you to the top via pony rides or via drivers who take you in their carts. While these might be appealing options, the walk isn’t too bad or difficult if you want to take this option instead.
The views from Sunset Point were decent but not amazing. The sun wasn’t setting as a gorgeously burnt orange globe as I had seen before in the Gujarat. Furthermore, the calm that should have accompanied such a moment was lost with the droves of holidaymakers that descended to the point as well. Along with their chatter, and the constant offers of chai or toasted corn cobs for sales, it wasn’t as special as I hoped.
Worth seeing for one sunset at least!
