A little pricey with limited facilities Jun 12, 2013
I've been wanting to stay at this resort because of its proximity to the beach. The information on the website was somewhat accurate. Rooms are located on either side of a garden walkway that leads to the beach.

There is no restaurant, only a dining area where breakfast is served every morning, included in the room rates. Not a lot of other visitors when I went except for some local families making the most of their last couple of days off before returning to school after the mid term break.

If you're looking to spend a lot of time in your hotel room watching tv, this would not be the place to stay as they do not have satellite tv, only local channels. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Restaurants and the Underwater World are minutes away on foot.

I'd recommend only if you are planning to enjoy the beach, or have plans to explore the island.

Resort under the Sungroup-Langkawi establishment, as I was impressed with the restaurants, cafe and bar, I wanted to try the resort.

The place is a nice and serene resort with a beach front, from the entrance is a small reception and a lounge area complete with books over a fish pond, walk through the beautiful landscaped path lined with flower and fruit trees to the chalets, and after the pebbled-rock fountain and pond is the breakfast area overlooking beach view and the coconut tree-shaded lounge area at the beach. The massage area is on the beach.

We stayed at Sunset II room, reasonably priced (RM190 / USD60), is spacious, clean and comfortable, bathroom is simple and ordinary. The rooms and resort is decorated with traditional and exotic artworks. This place is cozy and homely compared to the classy and finely decorated restaurants.

The staff are friendly and service is personalized, the best part is that even though we've checked-out, we were offered towel to shower later when we picked our bags before our flight at night. The shower with rock-lined wall has a skylight, gives it a feel of outdoor, also for washing off after hitting the beach.

This place does not have pool, as the water features in the other establishment is fascinating, it would be nice to imagine how the pool would be.

Overall, we were pleased and contented with the resort.
