We booked Sunrise Select Garden beach twice before we went to this hotel for another 3 visits. The extra's of Sunrise Royal Makadi Resort compared to Select Garden Beach is the fact that the neighbour hotel(fort arabesque) has a beautiful coral reef. Don't be suprised when you are amongst 20 or 30 fishes in the brightest colours. And this when you are standing with your middle in the water. For coast snorkling this is one of the best places I can think of.
But now about the hotel. It is as the other Sunrise select hotels a good place to be. The food is good. They have several restaurants where you can stay the evening. Downside of the hotel nowerdays: Russians with no attitude. Not much to do outside the hotel so for those who are young and want to party there is not much party places. But for the more at ease, without the Russians really a fun place to be.
