Sunny Side Up Breakfast Fete for Carnival
Sunny Side Up Breakfast Fete for Carnival Reviews
Start partying at 4am! It'll be worth it Mar 11, 2011
For $100-$150, this early morning breakfast fete (party) was worth it. These are in the collection of Carnival fetes that are almost impossible to buy tickets for. You have to had bought them in advance or know someone.
The party starts at 4am and ends around 11am. It felt a little strange putting on sun block at 5 in the morning while the sun was still hiding, but I have gotten sun burn when I went to another breakfast fete and my shoulders were unhappy.
This breakfast fete has two tiers. General admission offers food and basic liquor while VIP offers premium liquor, access to general admission food and drinks, better food, and an elevated deck to look over the whole crowd. It gets really crowded close up to the stage (which had a pretty good band), but it's the only way to get up to VIP. There's a lot of dancing going on and the bubble machine malfunctioned, but eventually, there was a pile of bubbles in the street and people were covered in them.
Don't wear your best clothes. I actually have a collection of pictures of naughty T-shirts; funny things that people wear. Just wear shorts and a nice tank; people still look cute, but it's not as scandalous as some of the other parties. This is a more relaxed venue, but it is lots of fun if you can get tickets.
