Suncourt and a great pool. Feb 01, 1990
When we had operations in taupo we would always be put up at the Suncourt because everything was there at our fingertips.
Close to the city center means getting in and out of the place for the fun downtown is a very easy walk. The Suncourt is also just a stroll across the road to the lakefront too, if that's more to your liking. If the lake seems too dirty to cool off in then you can just stay at the motel and enjoy the pool, it's a great feature of the place. The restaurant was open whenever we needed food but i don't imagine that is a typical arrangement but as this place caters for conferences then you may well be able to negotiate the times you need to feed your crowd. The food was good and plentiful. Ours was paid for so I'm not too sure on value for money but with so many choice places to eat in the city they would have to be reasonable or tables wouldn't be full. I haven't been to the Suncourt for a couple of years now but I still see it as a prime location for my next get together. Nothing beats a few friends lounging in a pool on a warm summer night!
