Sunbloom Resort Candelaria Reviews

Along the shoreline of Barangay Uacon in Candelaria, Zambales, you will find Sunbloom Resort, just one of the many resorts in the area. Though smaller with just only 28 rooms as compared to the other resorts, this charming resort offers gentle hospitality and tranquility for that perfect escape that you’ve been longing for.
With rooms at Php1200 good for 4 pax, their rooms have a/c and fan, two double comfortable beds, rattan sofa-bed and really clean toilets with complimentary towels & soap but without hot & cold shower though. Allan, the caretaker, told me that all rooms look the same, with same amenities, except for two rooms which are bigger and can accommodate up to six persons.
They have picnic tables for rent for day trippers but free for those staying for a night.
Their view deck gives a perfect sight of Potipot Island.
One downside though, they don’t have a restaurant. But the resort has a kitchen that guests can use. One can either bring their own stove or rent a stove for cooking. Grills are also available. If you’ll be bringing perishable foods, you can also rent a refrigerator for Php100.
And for those who don’t know how to cook or want to cook, you can also ask them to cook for you. You either go to the market or simply ask them to do that. What we did was we went to the market and bought worth Php500 of food and ask them to prepare our meals. When we checked out, they charged us Php300 for the cooking, which consisted of 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts and 1 lunch. Not bad at all!
They also sell drinks, sodas and beers, at cheap price as compared to the other resorts.
As for recreation, they don’t have a lot of recreational facilities, just a videoke machine.
Ate Mercy and Allan, the caretakers, were so nice and very accommodating. They made us feel right at home.
More than its affordable rates, I would highly recommend Sunbloom Resort because of the staff’s warm hospitality and its homey feel.
