Summer Night Market Richmond Reviews
SUMMER NIGHT MARKET IN RICHMOND, BC Sep 21, 2010
It's the last weekend of the ever so popular Richmond Asian-inspired Summer Night Market.
Big long aisles, incredible performers and buskers, loads of vendors, fun contests, family-friendly experiences for all ages.
The only one of its kind in North America, the Summer Night Market is styled after night markets in Asia with a variety of funky contests including a fried chicken eating contest, pregnant mum baby show, nearly-wed contest every weekend (based on The Newlywed Game television show) and baby crawling.
If you're looking for the practical and not so practical, this is the place to be! Cheap sunglasses, wigs, sunscreen, glue-on nails, henna temporary tattoos, samurai swords and artwork all can be found.
My visit is purely for the gorging on the unique and tasty street foods from Europe and Asia. The Japanese green-bean pancakes, Korean bbq duck, Indian curried rice balls and Mexican meat-filled crepes are a must try!
Locals and tourists alike visit this multicultural festival, 25,000 can't be wrong! The Summer Night Market has become a must-do summer attraction for all of us that enjoy living life!
