Go on a Sunny Day May 11, 2011
The best part of our visit is the sunny weather, that just makes the whole scene much more enjoyable. Pictures came out beautifully.

As I remember, it costs $30 to go up, but totally worth it.

We went in April, and there's still thick snow on top of the mountain. It's amazing to see that with the sun. You get a 360 degree grand view on top of the mountain. Gondola is fun too, since it has a little acceleration on start. :)

Sulphur Mountain located in Banff, Alberta, Canada Jul 23, 2009
An exciting place to go, Sulphur Mountain, in which you can see the majestic-beauty all around you --> The Canadian Rocky Mountains! An inexpensive and memorable tourist spot in which you can take in the sight of Banff and the Bow River as you walk to the summit ... It will cost about $22.50 and for what you'll see and experience --that's nothing--

You'll feel on top of the world and the sight of the clouds with the mountains piercing through, or the sun setting, or if you're able to experience the sight of rain and storm clouds all around the summit, or the pink clouds that flow 'in a certain way' is unexplainable ... I've only gone up 4 times and every time I go there, there's always a different view HIGH IN THE SKIES!!

We took the TB'ers here where some (RVegas) kissed the ground, others lost their legs, some sketched in their names, others walked anxiously, some stopped every second to take photos, while the others just walked up to enjoy the breath-taking view ... it is something for all to enjoy and hopefully while you're up there you'll get to see some Big Horn Sheep etc., roaming around, unfortunately I didn't this time but they are there perhaps next time I'll be lucky ... I did see birds and squirrels, if that counts LOL ... so do go, you'll enjoy yourself just as the TB'ers did during this one activity during the Banff TB meet-up :)

The ride up the Sulphur Mountain gondola is a must-do when visiting Banff. It takes about 20 minutes to get to the top, and you can stay up there for as long as you want. From the top of Sulphur Mountain, you get to look out at all the surrounding mountains, and everything below, including Banff. It is a breathtaking view. When it’s time to come back down, you can either come back down on the gondola, or you can hike down, which would take 1.5 - 2 hours.

Cost: $22.50
