If you don't like the crowded beach in Hua Hin itself, try going to Suanson beach instead. (I am not sure on the spelling of "Suanson".)
Just go to Hua Hin's Clocktower and take a car, tuk-tuk, bus or hitch-hike there, it is just about ten minutes south. Suanson beach is part of a military residential facility, but it is open to the public. Don't be afraid of the guys with the guns. The beach is nearly empty and there is even a nice (and extremely cheap!) restaurant. Getting back to Hua Hin is a bit more difficult as there are no tuk-tuks or taxis at the beach usually. Just go to the main road and wave to the bus when it comes or hitch-hike. Enjoy! |
