As one of only a handful of cold spring in all of South East Asia, the Cold Spring of Su-ao are considered one of Taiwan’s most cherished natural resources. Discovered by the Japanese in 1928, the clear, cool water of the springs contain carbon dioxide. Bathing in the pool is said to be beneficial to the skin. According to local resident, drinking the water can also lessen stomach and intestinal troubles.

We were almost to the coast finally! I love the one part of the highway we traveled on that the freeway just ended...literally! Of course, they had routed us prior to the end of the highway but still crazy nontheless to see this highway just ending!
