All over Italy, Padova, Italy
Street signs in Italy - This is a two-way road actually... maybe lane division is not so important?
Street signs in Italy - Yeih! San Marco :D
Street signs in Italy - Gotta love this... what street am I? What street is this intersection with??
Street signs in Italy - Another example of incomplete signaling... I guess the street intersecting must be pretty obvious :)

Italy is no United States with respect to street signs. Actually I think signaling is even better in Mexico.

As soon as I arrived into Florence airport, I noticed there were no clear signs on how to get anywhere, it was even difficult to find the "information" stand as it was hidden in a corner, lol.

There are street signs missing in many places, and sometimes when you find an arrow or something indicating where you should go, something happens like the road splits and there is no sign on where you should follow next.

Maybe italian people is used to this, but I found it very difficult to move around even with the use of maps, lol.

The only exception is Venice, where even in little streets you can find signs to get to San Marco. :)

Hahaha Amber and Dianne, I think you both are exactly right! On one hand they don't care if foreigners get lost, but on the other they are always willing to give directions :) But def Italy is where a GPS is most needed!

Or it's maybe because Italians are usually very communicative and this lack of signs makes people talk to each others at least to ask for directions ;)

Hehehe Perhaps Italians just always just know where they are and they are not bothered if you don't?? LOL!! :P
